Welcome to Worship!

The blessings of the Lord are surely being poured out on Immanuel Baptist Church.  We sense a renewed commitment among our membership and a revival spirit seems to be flowing through our midst.

A new church year began last Sunday.  It’s hard to believe that the month of August is over.  Students have returned to school, vacations have come to an end, and the winter programs of the church have been made ready.  With teachers and officers in place, let’s all make this the best church year ever!

Our children have practiced all summer for, LEGENDS AT CAMP GARNER CREEK, a musical about church camp, bible heroes and remarkable everyday kids!  Come support our children in their endeavors  tonight at 5:45.

Children, be in the church choir room at 5:00 p.m. and dressed.  Performance will be at 5:45 p.m.

Choir will wear Kid’s Jam T-Shirts and long blue jeans.

See/Saw You at the Pole, Wednesday September 27 Students and sponsors will gather in prayer around our schools’ flag pole at 7 a.m. on the 27th.  Immanuel is hosting the evening “Saw You at the Pole” from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. here in our sanctuary.  (Adult Bible Study will be dismissed.)  The evangelist is Runks Runkles and worship will be led by Sharon Worship.  We hope that you will join us to worship as a community again this year.  Check out the video on Facebook for more information or contact Bro. Welcome to Immanuel Baptist Church on this Labor Day Weekend!

This is an exciting week for our church.  AWANA starts Wednesday night at 6:30 along with Meals from 5 – 6 p.m.  Still $3 per adult and $2 per child.

We encourage you to get involved in the many ministries of the church.  Wherever your desire to serve, allow God to lead you in the direction He has for you and serve Him with all your strength.

AWANA Kick-off Wednesday, September 6

6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Jesus commands us, as Christians, to reach the lost with the good news of the gospel.  AWANA Clubs is a wonderful opportunity to teach children of the community and help them build a growing walk with the Lord.

A substitute van driver, along with 2 van riders to keep attendance and order, will be needed for the Wednesday Van Ministry.  If you can help, see David Fernandez or Casey Reed.

Pray for the AWANA ministry and if you will volunteer, see Bro. Jeff Jasso, he has a position just for you.

Registration forms and calendar for the year are available at our Visitor’s Center.  Pick one up, fill it out, and bring it with you this Wednesday night for all children aged 2 years through 6th grade.

ANNOUNCEMENTS 08/27/17

 

Next Sunday marks the beginning of our new church year.  Newly elected teachers and officers will be assuming their duties.  We are excited about this coming year!

Teachers, next Sunday is Promotion Sunday, if you have young students moving up into the next grade, please be sure to show them their new classroom.  There is a spirit of great expectation here at Immanuel as we plan for future growth in all areas of the ministry.

ANNOUNCEMENTS 07/30/17

 

Psalm 100:2 says, “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.”  Another words, worship is a delight, not a duty.  Worship is to be filled with joy and gladness.

Our desire is that today will be a celebration of worship that will fill our souls with joy and thanksgiving.

Oh by the way, we are delighted God has sent you to Immanuel Baptist Church today.  Our prayer is that you will experience true worship today!

Children Aged 7 thru 12 Year olds      

Our children will be leaving immediately after morning worship today and returning by noon on Wednesday, Aug. 2nd.  Pray for our campers, sponsors and safe travel this week.

    

  YOUTH GROUP Events (7th through 12th grades) August 9 – Big Rock Mini Golf – $20 to play/$10 for food/Leave church @ 5 p.m.

August 16 – End of Summer Celebration!  6:15 p.m.  Youth Room

This summer program is designed for children aged 5 years up through 6th grade. Those participating will be in our musical presentation, LEGENDS AT CAMP GARNER CREEK, a musical about church camp, bible heroes and remarkable everyday kids!  Come support our children on Sunday, September 10, 5:45 p.m.

August 6th a Very Special Lady is Turning 90!

Mrs. Demarise Coulter Freeman, a long time member of Immanuel, is celebrating her birthday at Crownpoint Retirement Center, 510 S. Rose St., Sheridan.  The event is in the Activities Room from 2 – 4 p.m., dress is casual, (no gifts); card basket provided.  The congregation of Immanuel is invited!  RSVP to Jeanette Munds at 870-942-5380 or 941-2254.

Tonight at 5:45 p.m. Keisler Brothers Band Come hear our own Keisler Family as they present Bluegrass Style Gospel Singing!

For 27 years, the Keisler Band has presented the gospel through their unique bluegrass style.  Don’t miss this one!

 

Coming Sunday, August 13, 5:45 p.m.

 THE KINSMEN will be sharing the message of God’s word here at Immanuel in August.  As always, they will strive to sing songs that reach out and touch the hearts and lives of people of all ages    and backgrounds.

FREE Public Health Screening  September 16 Epperson Center – 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon We will have several health booths set up so help us spread the word about this free clinic!

PRAYER REQUESTS 07/26/17

*Please pray for the family of J.C. Rogers, Linda Vailes’ brother, who passed away Monday morning.
*Also, pray for Rick Anderson, Kim Maple’s brother-in-law, from Tomball, TX, who broke his elbow and will see the orthopedist later this week to determine if surgery will be needed.
*Pray for the family of Clyde Sites, who passed away on Tuesday.
*Continue to pray for Blake Holloway, who is home from surgery.
*Continue to pray for Ed Pickell. He was unable to have his treatment last week as he was too weak.
